Mia: What inspired you to become interested in photography?
Luz: Creating was and will always be a part of my life. At a young age, I was always around cameras which always sparked my interest. Having spent so much time around cameras I started to love photography. Four years ago I got a hold of my first professional camera as a present.
Mia: What is your favorite shoot that you’ve done?
Luz: One of my favorite shoots would be my “Strawberry Fields” shoot. Working on this was amazing because I tried new methods of editing, lighting and positioning, which I learned a lot from.
Mia: What are your must-have items for every shoot?
Luz: My must-haves during my shoots would definitely be a tripod (mainly because I do self portraits), a mirror and different colored lights.
Mia: As a young photographer, what are some of the challenges you face, and how do you overcome them?
Luz: Not having access to many upscale editing softwares and not being able to purchase a lot of equipment for sure is a challenge but I am a firm believer of making the best of what you have.
Mia: What are your goals for the future?
Luz: My goals would be shooting for brands, celebrities, going on tour to take pictures, and also to make films.
